Yesterday in New York City, we attended the AWS Financial Services Symposium. It was a full on agenda, and an exclusive all-day, in-person event designed for senior business and tech execs across banking, payments, capital markets, and insurance.
Our interest is in payments, and specifically, refunds. That’s it, that’s the tweet!
E-commerce is now powered by financial services firms unleashing the power of data to transform how they operate and deliver value to customers. We’ve seen advancement in technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI enabling organizations to extract game-changing insights from data, automate complex processes, and create hyper-personalized customer experiences.
We saw TodayPay, our favorite instant refunds fintech was in attendance holding court. It was amazing to see the “ah huh” moments when executives all share their refund horror stories and then ask “where have you been all my life?”
Let’s face it, the promise of data and AI also comes new challenges. At the symposium, we learned how financial services firms are working with AWS to manage and optimize the power of data responsibly to deliver better experiences to their customers, make smarter business decisions, and fortify critical applications.
Let’s hope we start seeing some of that immense technological power fixing broken refunds!
